A Humble Nerd's Ode to Duo Maxwell
(or Why Biologists Shouldn't Attempt Poetry)
Of all the organisms inhabiting Earth
There are none so attractive as you.
Oh, would that I could gaze into your eyes
Those twin pools of potassium permanganate.
Would that I could touch your hair
Which grows as long as a polysaccharide.
In my eyes you shine so bright
A thousand plants could photosynthesize by your light.
You are the strand of DNA,
And I the RNA polymerase;
I long to bind to you.
Let no repressor stop my binding
To the operon of your heart.
Rapunzel
Yes, I know it's silly and pointless, but I couldn't help it. My muse hit with a vengeance.
