Date: spring, 2008 End of this past winter, I graduated from UCLA. Since I suddenly was no longer in school and thus no longer subject to the whims of the quarter system, my parents took me along when they went to Maui over my mother's spring break. It was nice – I painted several pictures and had a good time just relaxing before coming back to the mainland and buckling down to work full-time. Painting of a pretty little waterfall in, I believe, the Japanese garden at Kepaniwai Park's Heritage Gardens. I'm very, very pleased with how this came out, particularly the rocks and the water. I always seem to get into my painting mojo right at the end of a trip, sadly. Sigh. |
