Date: 09.06.03 I was copying a photograph in my sketchbook, and it somehow turned into this... In all, I think I had three to four reference pictures, and even then I made the legs up on the spot. The original photo was me holding the Almighty Chicken of Rock, but since that didn't seem to be very appropriate, I had the angel "holding" a fairy. I wanted to color it when I was done, but I figured that the only way that angel wings should be colored was with watercolors, so I ended up enlarging the picture and putting it onto a large piece of watercolor paper. The actual painting is 16"x18". Anyway, angel sitting precariously on a column high up in the middle of nowhere. |
