Date: 06.30.07 Another picture from Hyde Park in London, this time a pastel of a statue/war memorial featuring St. George and the Dragon. My foot hurt, so I had to sit down for a while, and there was a pretty statue to draw! I obviously chose my own colors for it, and I had some trouble with drawing it, as it started to rain in the middle. My mother graciously held an umbrella over my head so I could mostly-finish. I feel sorry for the dragon in most depictions of St. George – usually the dragon is so much smaller than George that it hardly seems fair :( |
