Series: h.e.l.p.! (with a nod to Pogo and Walt Kelly) So every year I do a Christmas card with as many authors from Nikai (specifically the CFWOWW) that I can fit in (I'm the one in the green shirt. That's a stuffed bat on my head). And then I put it on the front page of Nikai and use it for the Christmas cards that I give out to my friends. But my mom likes to buy cards from me as well, so then I have to make sure that it's still funny to people who don't know anything about anime or fanfiction or the Weird World or any of that... Yeah. And I didn't even post it on Nikai this year. Oh, well. This was originally going to be a human pyramid, but I got lazy and I didn't want to figure it out. And they weren't going to be singing, but then it struck me that they needed to be singing "Deck Us All With Boston Charlie" (which technically isn't a Christmas song, if you read the historical notes in Songs of the Pogo). Yeah, Walt Kelly rocks my socks. And so does Pogo. I'd so vote for Pogo in 2004 if I thought he might win. I Go Pogo! |
